Get to know Kim Powell, our Director of Finance.
I’ve been at the agency for: Two years.
When I wake up in the morning, my first thought is: What kind of day is this going to be?
Weekends are for: Catching up on housework, doing laundry, grocery shopping, reading and catching up on shows that I have missed during the week.
Drink of choice: Vodka and cranberry juice.
The accomplishment I’m most proud of: Being a mom.
Most played artists on Spotify: Anything country and 80’s rock.
My current desktop picture is: I don’t have a background image.
I’m currently reading: Winter Storms by Elin Hilderbrand.
A talent I wish I had is: The ability to play the piano.
My favorite movies are: Any Hallmark Christmas movie, Remember the Titans, The Blind Side and Miracle on 34th Street.
My guilty pleasures are: Watching Hallmark Christmas movies, sitting on my deck looking out at the Elizabeth River, and enjoying a cocktail in the evening while watching the sunset.
My idols include: My mom. She was the strongest woman I know.
What are you currently binge-watching? Currently not binge-watching anything.

I am fascinated by: People watching.
My top three items on my bucket list are: To travel across the United States to see places like the Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore and the many other great sites that our country has to offer; ride in a horse-drawn carriage in the snow; to spend a Christmas in a small Christmas town like out of a Hallmark movie.
What I love most about what I do at Meridian Group is: I get to work with a great group of people who are very talented and make working fun.
