Nealy Gihan

Public Relations Counselor

Coming to the Meridian Group with decades of experience in corporate, nonprofit and government communications and marketing, as well as having years of journalism, teaching, literary writing and editing experience under her belt, Nealy has proven to be adaptable and thrives in every environment she finds herself in. As PR counselor, she brings her passion for storytelling, relationship building and attention to detail and grammar to her role.  Personally, Nealy has won several awards and accolades during her career, including a fellowship with the Maynard Institute and an award for her literary work from the Hampton Roads Writers Association. Her efforts have also helped the companies she’s worked for earn such prestigious awards as a Stevie International Business Award, Public Relations Society of America Pinnacle awards, an LACP Vision award and a Nielsen Norman Group Intranet Design award.  In addition, she is active in her community, serving on the PRSA Hampton Roads chapter board of directors, on the Norfolk Tourism Foundation’s communications committee and as chair of the Virginia Beach Public Library Advisory Board. When she’s not working, Nealy can be found novel writing, planning her next international missions trip with her church or hanging upside down practicing aerial arts.
