Director of Public Relations
After spending nearly 20 years as a news anchor and reporter in multiple media markets across the country, Vanessa transitioned her broadcast communication skills and broad, multi-platform media experience into the public relations realm. She now serves as Director of Public Relations at Meridian Group. As director, Vanessa helps to both foster positive brand recognition and develop strategies to generate publicity for clients, all while growing relationships with contacts and managing the largest public relations team in the region. Vanessa prides herself on community involvement and philanthropy and is currently a member of the non-profit Norfolk FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association and serves as a board member for 31Heroes, a military-related charitable organization. When not researching pitches or developing influencer and public relations plans, you’ll find Vanessa serving as MC for local events, at the nearest karaoke dive, lounging on the bay, or cooking up new and unique Keto recipes.
